- "Ready, set, _ _", "Hip, hip, _ _ _ _ _ _", "Don't sit under the _ _ _ _ _ tree" are expressions we’ve all heard and used before. Because the reaction to the clue is almost automatic, it can help create a sense of achievement for older adults who are struggling with memory loss. Cards are grouped by type of expression: either two words with the third missing, or an expression missing a word.

It is suitable for all cognitive abilities: the cards are sorted into different colors depending on difficulty, so the game can be adapted based on the player's needs.
- The game includes a set of 48 cue cards each with an expression missing one word along with the answer cards. The cards are grouped by type of expression - either two words with the third missing ("Hip, hip, _ _ _ _ _ _") or an expression missing a word ("Don't sit under the _ _ _ _ _ tree"). Each group of expressions is further divided into sets so that the smaller sets can be used with individuals while the larger sets (or complete pack) can be used for group activities.

KITCHEN UTENSILS 35 PIECE JIGSAW PUZZLE

- Start by offering the pieces from only one bag at a time. If the player finds this too easy, increase the challenge by offering the pieces from more than one bag. With a little guidance, a person with dementia or Alzheimer's can complete the puzzle on their own leading to a sense of pride and accomplishment. Most people start a puzzle by completing the border first, and that's how we do it. Starting with the first bag, the player can work on the top border. Once that is complete, the pieces in each of the next three bags are used (one at a time) to complete the rest of the border. The pieces in the last two bags are used to finish the puzzle. Once completed, the final step is for the player to take the puzzle apart and sort the pieces back into the color-coded bags.

SHAKE LOOSE A MEMORY GAME
The object of Shake Loose A Memory is to keep as many cards as possible, but the real goal is to talk about and recall memories -- the games were designed specifically for people with Alzheimer's.
- Game consists of cards, with dice on one side and written memory on the other. Stacks of cards are laid out in consecutive order from 1-6. Players roll die, draw a card from the pile matching the number on the die, reads the memory out loud.

SNAKES & LADDERS AND LUDO BOARD GAME

- Players take it in turns to select a card which states how many places they must move. Ladders will provide a boost around the board, but watch out for those pesky snakes that will send you backward. The original rules of Ludo require a player to be sent back to the beginning if another player lands on their square however, you can adapt the rules as required.
