New Mobile Library coming soon!

We are excited to announce the arrival of a brand-new Mobile Library, set to roll into the community in April and become fully operational in May.

In the meantime, Mobile library services are suspended. Check back to see when we're back on the road.

Mobile Library Unveiling Party

Help us celebrate the arrival of the new Mobile Library with music, food, community, and fun!
This block party will be in Anchor Park outside the Library. Tour the new Mobile Library, grab a free scoop of Rocky Road from Big Dipper, and enjoy live music!

Renaming

Formerly known as the Bookmobile, the newly rebranded Mobile Library represents an investment in outreach and modernized service delivery. The new name better reflects the breadth of service that is offered through the vehicle. Designed to better serve residents throughout Lewis and Clark County, the Mobile Library will bring books, technology, programming, and library services directly to neighborhoods, schools, senior living facilities, and community events.

There will be a break in the Bookmobile schedule between April 4 and May 11 while we transition to the new Mobile Library. Check below for the updated schedule.

Bookmobile

Visiting the bookmobile is like stepping into any of our library buildings. 

You can, 

  • Check out and return items,
  • Access free Wi-Fi, 
  • Get a library card,
  • Ask staff questions. 

Become a Bookmobile Stop 

Request a community stop in a certain area or for your organization, fill out the Bookmobile Stop Request Form on the right side of this page and either return it to the library or email it to bbrumm@lclibrary.org 

We cannot guarantee a stop will be created but all forms returned to us are considered. 

Words on Wheels (WoW) Library

Be on the lookout for the library bicycle during the summer. 

The WoW library provides: 

  • Free Wi-Fi, 
  • Small collection available for checkout, 
  • Take and make craft kits, 
  • Get a library card. 

The WoW Library was generously donated by the Lewis & Clark Library Foundation in 2019. 

If you would like the Words on Wheels Library to visit your event or community gathering, please email bbrumm@lclibrary.org. We have limited staffing for the WOW Library so we cannot guarantee a visit from the bike, but all requests are considered. Thank you!
