Lewis & Clark Library Bookmobile
In November of 2012, the bookmobile became the newest branch of the Lewis & Clark Library! The bookmobile brings library services out to the community to better serve our patrons. Visiting the bookmobile is like stepping into any of the library buildings with books, DVDs, puppets, laptop internet stations, an AWE kid's station, and Public Services desk. The bookmobile is year around and designed for all ages. Please check out the schedule below for current stop dates and times.
Current Program on the Bookmobile - March 2016
Spring Zine(Ing) Contest
What is a Zine? Zine is short for fanzine which is a cheaply made publication that can be mass produced with a photocopier and bound with staples. Zines can revolve around music, be dedicated to artwork, poetry, cartoons, editorials, and short stories. Encouraging creativity, zines are individualized and charismatic without advertisements.
Sound fun? Want to make one of your own? Enter the Bookmobile Spring Zine(Ing) Contest!
Each participant can pick up a Zine creation packet from Your Lewis & Clark Library Bookmobile. Create a Zine of your own design with minimal help from another person. Create a Zine by drawing, writing, gluing, or awesome telepathy skills. The world is your limit!
Submit your Zine to the Bookmobile, along with a submission form, by March 25th at 5:00 PM. Submissions will be judged by a group of knowledgeable judges and awards will be announced March 31, 2016. The top 3 submissions chosen by the team of judges will win Kindle Fires. Submissions will be on display on the Bookmobile to celebrate National Library Week (April 10-16, 2016) and National Bookmobile day on April 13, 2016.
