As part of the reveal of their new website, the Lewis & Clark Library has announced which photographers were chosen to have their photos featured on the new website.
The contest, announced in January 2014, was designed to give local photographers the chance to have their photos of the Helena area, and Lewis and Clark County, used in the design of the site. Most of the photographs chosen will be used as part of the backgrounds on the site, giving the website a look and feel that is unique to the Helena area.
“Over 150 photos were submitted during the contest and of those, the Library chose around 50 to use on the new website,” explained Systems Manager Matt Beckstrom. “We are really pleased with the overall look and feel of our new website, and the use of local photos really gives the site an unique look and feel.”
The names of the chosen photographers are: Silje Aadland, Eliza Allison, Nick Beckstrom, Eileen Bobinski, Kylie Campbell, Ian Colbert, Tom Crawford, Ally Hand, Nicholas Hopkins, Judy Hudgins, Chloe Katsilas, Don Kiehn, Tom Kilmer, Jerry Kozak, Kylee Lamphier, Tevin Lewis, Brock Mann, John McClellan, Charlie Nelson, Sydney Nielsen, Heidi O’Brien, Lexie Reddig, Jessica Sanford, Sarina Steppe, JT Swartz, Nancy Treib, Andy Turner, Baylie Wetch, Megan Williams.
The winning submissions can be found as background images on the new Library website at www.lclibrary.org, or all the images can be viewed at www.lclibrary.org/gallery.aspx?AID=3.
