Main Branch to Resume Holds Pick-Up, East Helena Branch to Suspend Browsing
October 27, 2020 (Helena, MT)—The Main Branch of the Lewis & Clark Library will resume Holds Pick-Up on Wednesday, October 28th. Holds Pick-Up will be available in the Lobby of the Main Branch from 11AM-6PM Monday-Friday, 11AM-5PM Saturday, and 1-5PM Sundays. Lewis & Clark Library Director John Finn would like to remind patrons that masks are mandatory when picking up library holds, “we want to ensure the safety of our staff and our community.”
Finn goes on to explain that he is continuing to monitor the Lewis and Clark County COVID numbers and will suspend Holds Pick-Up if needed. “With the rise in numbers, we need to remain vigilant and do what is best for everyone’s safety.
Beginning Wednesday, the East Helena Branch will move to no contact Holds Pick-Up and suspend browsing and computer use at the Branch. “Our staff feels that this is the safest way to provide library services to the Community.” East Helena patrons will pick up their holds from the foyer area of the Library. One patron at a time will be allowed in the foyer and masks are required.
East Helena holds will be available Monday-Thursday, 11AM-6PM and Fridays, 11AM-5PM. For patrons needing WiFi access, they can access the Library’s WiFi from outside of the building.
Finn reminds everyone “these are dynamic times and things can change quickly. We will do our best to update our patrons through the media and on the Library’s website and social media pages.”
Beginning Wednesday, October 28th, the Main Branch will resume Holds Pick-Up, Phone-a-Librarian and Bookmobile Services. The East Helena Branch will suspend browsing and computer use but will provide no-contact Holds Pick-up.
