March 25, 2016 (Helena, MT)—Libraries aren’t only a place of quiet study, they are also creative and engaging community centers where teens can collaborate using new technologies and old traditions and during April, Your Lewis & Clark Library is celebrating National Library
Week as well as National Poetry Month with a variety of programs, events, and classes geared towards teens!
“Each month we host a wide-range of events geared towards teens, but during April as we celebrate the importance of libraries nationwide, we recognize the importance of teen involvement in helping our Library grow its collection, programs, and outreach possibilities,” explains Teen Services Librarian, Heather Dickerson.
The month kicks off with First Friday Movie night on April 1st from 7-9:30 PM. Movies, snacks, and friends in a relaxed atmosphere.
Tween Yoga from 3-4 PM on April 4th helps preteens and teens explore healthy lifestyle choices in a fun setting. The Teen Writers Group will meet later that evening from 7-8:30 PM.
On April 19h from 7-8, the Teen Book Group will meet to discuss Glass Sword by Victoria Aveyard.
