Love Your Library! Events Planned for February

January 28, 2019 (Helena, MT)—February is Love Your Library month and Your Lewis & Clark Library has an array of special story times planned to celebrate.

February 2nd is “Take Your Child to the Library Day” and families are invited to attend a special library themed Family Story Time at 10:30AM on the Story Steps. On Saturday, February 9th Cate Nelson with the Montana Hope Project will lead a special Family Story Time at 10:30AM on the Story Steps.


Each week on Wednesday and Thursday at 10:30AM the library hosts Story Time for preschool age children and their adults. During February, Story Time will be hosted by some special guests from our community:


Mayor Wilmot Collins will join us on Wednesday, February 6th and again on February 20th


Lisa Cordingley Executive Director of the Helena Education Foundation will lead story time on Thursday, February 7th.


Sergeant Jay Nelson with the Montana Highway Patrol will host story time on Wednesday, February 13th.


The voice of Montana Radio Company’s KCAP New Radio, Troy Shockley, will be our featured guest on Valentine’s Day for a special heart themed story time.


Former Grand Street Theater Director and Helena Food Share Volunteer Extraordinaire, Tom Cordingley will be the story time guest on Thursday, February 21st.


Myrna Loy Executive Director, Krys Holmes joins us for story time on Wednesday, February 27th.


Half of the KMTX Morning Show duo, Whitney Fisher will entertain the kiddos on Thursday, February 28th.
