Your Lewis & Clark Library to again host the Helena Food Share Turkey Challenge
November 13, 2017 (Helena, MT)—In this month of giving thanks, would you be able to help make a neighbor’s holiday more complete? Your Lewis & Clark Library is pleased to again partner with Helena Food Share to host the Turkey Challenge this Friday, November 17th from 9:30AM-5PM.
Helena Food Share has experienced significant growth in the need for food assistance, leaving the agency with increased needs during the upcoming Holiday season. Between Thanksgiving distribution in November, and Christmas distribution in December, Helena Food Share will distribute nearly 2000 turkeys. In order to accomplish this goal, they are in need of 1500 turkeys.
For one day only, on Friday, November 17th, the Lewis & Clark Library will be accepting turkeys on behalf of the Helena Food Share. Individuals wishing to donate a turkey can drop off a frozen turkey at the Lewis & Clark Library lobby between 9:30AM-5PM. Helena Food Share is looking for 10- to 12-pound, frozen, turkeys, which will be distributed to local families on Monday, November 20th. For those wishing to make a monetary donation, $25 will provide a Holiday meal for a local family.
