Lewis & Clark Library Teen Advisory Group (TAG) wins Video Contest!

May 4, 2016 (Helena, MT)—"Get in the Game. . . Read!" created by teens at Your Lewis & Clark Library, has won the 2016 Teen Video Challenge for the state of Montana, announced Cindy Christin, Montana Representative for Collaborative Summer Library Program.

Delaney Knudson and Bridget and Fiona Powers will receive $150 from the Collaborative Summer Library Program, and the Lewis & Clark Library will receive prizes as well. The winning video can be found on the CSLP website or at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=09k4XjLSv3U

Lewis & Clark Library Teen Services Librarian, Heather Dickerson, was excited to learn of news; “Historically, Montana has not participated. This year Montana had FOUR videos and Lewis & Clark Library's TAG group won our state! This is a great group of teens, they worked super hard on their video and they make Lewis & Clark Library proud!” The video was shown at a luncheon with representatives from around the country.
This was the sixth year of the Teen Video Contest, and the first for Montana. Teens from 25 states entered to win their state contest to promote reading and public libraries during this summer's theme, "Get in the Game--Read!" Students from Whitehall Community Library, Stillwater County Library, and Belgrade Community Library also submitted videos, so Montana had four great entries this year. Thanks to all the teens and mentors who worked on the video project! Be sure to take a look at other winning entries at www.cslpreads.org.
For more information, please contact Cindy Christin, Montana Representative for CSLP, at cchristin@bozeman.net or 406-582-2420.
