Interlibrary loan (ILL) lets you borrow books and other materials from libraries outside of Lewis & Clark County within the continental United States. If we don't have what you need, we can request it for you!
Once you've identified the item you want to request in FirstSearch, you will be redirected to our new interlibrary loan system Clio.
Log into Clio, review the details of your request on the prefilled form, write in the format you want to confirm (Print book, DVD, Blu-ray, Book on CD, Large Print, etc.), then click the "Submit" button. You're done!
You can also request an ILL over the phone by calling the library that is your pick-up location.
Track your requests: See exactly where your item is in the ILL process at the click of a button.
Request renewals: Need more time with a great find? No problem! You can request a renewal directly in the system.
View borrowing history: Ever wonder what hidden gems you borrowed on ILL before? All requests placed in the new system will be available to view for 24 months.
Stay in the loop: Get automatic email updates so you never miss that perfect item waiting for you at the library.
