    For babies, toddlers, & their grownups. Mondays, 10:30 am. Large Meeting Room. Caregivers and their little ones, birth through 2 1/2 years old are invited to join us for songs, action rhymes, finger plays, stories, and play time! We will focus on the five early literacy practices: PLAY, READ, SING, TALK, & WRITE.

  1. I JUST LIKE TO READ! READING'S MY FAVORITE! December Reading Challenge for Teens

    December 1, 2017 - December 31, 2017

    Read for pleasure for 15 minutes each day and record. Earn prizes! Complete 1 reading challenge: submit four dates when you read 15 minutes or more and earn an entry for the grand prize drawing. Complete 3 reading challenges: submit 12 dates when you read 15 minutes or more and earn a free book, plus 3 entries for the grand prize drawing. Complete 5 reading challenges: submit 20 dates when you read 15 minutes or more and earn a prize bag filled with goodies, plus 5 entries for the grand prize drawing. Complete 7 reading challenges: submit 28 dates when you read 15 minutes or more and earn the opportunity to plan a library party for you and your friends, plus 7 entries for the grand prize drawing. All readers will compete in the MVB (Most Voracious Bookworm) contest. The reader with the most minutes logged will earn a brand new book (up to $25) of your choice. Grand prize drawing winner: will receive a $100 gift card for Amazon, Target, or Wal-Mart (your choice).

  2. GIRLS WHO CODE!

    Girls Who Code is a national non-profit organization dedicated to closing the gender gap in technology. Heather, Teen Services Librarian, is a trained Girls Who Code club facilitator and is pleased to offer the first GWC session in Helena! Our club meet twelve times in the fall. Girls in grades 6-8 will learn coding basics and create their own project! Free and open to girls in grades 6-8. Registration required; please inquire at the information desk.
