Starting this week, Library staff will begin moving the Children’s room collection into the Large Meeting Room, which will act as the temporary home of the children’s department. Books will temporarily shift to the shelves just outside of the Children’s room. Then on Thursday, the shelves themselves will be moved into the Large Meeting Room and filled with books throughout the day. This is the first part of the movement that will take place to make it possible to begin the demolition and construction phase of the remodel project.
Storytimes will continue to meet at 10:30AM at the Myrna Loy, Monday through Thursday.
As the Library’s remodel project kicks off, Dick Anderson Construction will strive to continue to make the Library a safe place to visit. In order for DAC to begin placing safety barriers throughout the Library, the Library will need to be closed until 5PM on both December 2nd and 3rd.
