Celebrate National Library Week with Spring Fling with a Book!

Next week, April 4 – 10, 2021 is National Library Week and we are inviting you to have a “Spring Fling with a Book!” On the second floor of the library, you will find a book display filled with specially wrapped books available for checkout. Only the first sentence and the genre of the book will be displayed on the outside wrapping, but don’t peek! The idea is to take a chance on a book and get creative!  On the back of your wrapped book, you’ll find a list of “cheap date” suggestions: take your book on a picnic, watch a sunset with your book, enjoy your favorite beverage while reading it, you get the idea. For those of you who enjoy social media, take a selfie with your book and post it onlinusing the hashtags #CheapDateWithABook, #NationalLibraryWeek, and #LibrariesTransform. Finally, we are interested in your book suggestions! After you unwrap your book, you’ll find a brief survey inside. Fill it out, return it to the library, and we will include your recommendations in our Book Scouts display.

See you at the library!
