The Lewis & Clark Election Office at 316 N Park (the City-County Building) is currently open for in-person voting. Ballots will be mailed starting on October 9th, and will continue to be mailed to all new registered voters until October 26th. If you register to vote after October 26th, you will have to vote in-person.
The Election Office is open Monday through Friday from 8am-5pm, and on Election Day, 11/03 from 7am-8pm. There are also other ballot drop off sites open in Lincoln, East Helena, Augusta, and Wolf Creek on Election Day. Please see the full election guidelines to view these locations.
Once the ballots are mailed (they go out starting October 9th), you can either mail them back in the prepaid envelope or drop them off at the City-County Building. They will have a drive up drop off system in place.
From the Election Office:
“We hope that voters will take advantage of the opportunity to vote through the mail and to vote early. This will reduce the number of people that need to vote in-person on Election Day, and will therefore reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission to voters and election workers. For some voters, appearing in-person will be the best or only option. Our in-person operations will be socially distanced and operated according to public health guidelines. Your right to vote and your safety are important to us.”
