Words On Wheels Library Bicycle
The Words On Wheels Library bicycle is the newest mobile addition to the Lewis & Clark Library. The Lewis & Clark Library Foundation generously purchased the bike so that the library can provide even more services to the entire community. The bike was made in Bonner, Montana by Coaster Cycles specifically for the Lewis & Clark Library. It is equipped with an electric assist so that we can easily get around town too.
Not only do we provide a small curated collection of materials available for checkout, we also provide free WiFi for folks in the vicinity of the bike. The bike is also always stocked with Take and Make crafts that children can make at home with a helping adult. If you see the bike out and around town, be sure to come visit and see the great services we have for you!
Did you participate in the Summer Reading Challenge this summer? Our community goal was to read a collective amount of 1,000 minutes! We are currently very close to the community goal. The Words On Wheels Library bicycle has free Summer Reading Challenge Booklets everywhere that it goes. These booklets not only help you keep track of your reading but also have activities for all summer long.
The Words On Wheels Library Bicycle has been providing limited services to the public at the Capitol Square Farmer’s Market every Tuesday from 2:30-6:30 PM. So come on over into the shaded grassy area to see what great things we have available for you at the Farmer’s Market!
This summer has also been very warm and to cool off we are providing bike library services to Spring Meadow Lake State Park on several Fridays in August 2020. Bring your floaties, boats, and swimming toys to enjoy a relaxing afternoon at Spring Meadow Lake State Park and stop by to check out the Words on Wheels Library Bicycle!
