What book did you get quarantined with?
As many of you know, the library has temporarily stopped lending books for the COVID-19 lockdown, so we all ended up with what we had checked out the evening the doors shut. I’d love to hear about the books you got “stuck with” during the stay at home order! I feel like my household got pretty lucky. We ended up with some super great quarantine books that we have become very well acquainted with. My favorite, I think, is Ukulele for Dummies. We got a family ukulele for Christmas and this book has walked us through the joy of learning an instrument from scratch. Our whole household (minus the baby) can now play some great songs like Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, I’ll Fly Away, and with the help of some supplemental YouTube tutorials, the pop song Riptide by Vance Joy. It’s a nice hobby for a rainy, snowy, or windy day.
We also got quarantined with some great board books that the baby reads over, and over, and over, and over. Cows in the Kitchen probably wins the favorite baby book award this quarantine. But we can’t wait for the library to reopen so we can get some diversity in the baby book category.
Tell me about what you got quarantined with. Love it? Done with it? Read it three times? Told your kids you “returned” it (wink wink)?
