Safe Sitter Classes

St. Peter's Hospital and Lewis & Clark Library partner to offer the Safe Sitter®  program to local community teens. Potential babysitters looking to gain Safe Sitter®  training can learn crucial planning and decision-making skills from the program. Classes take place at the Lewis & Clark Library for youth in grades 6-8. This instructional program is taught by a Safe Sitter® certified instructor. Course material includes dealing with a medical emergency, babysitting as a business, responsibilities, safety, first aid, choking and CPR

The Safe Sitter®  program emphasizes personal safety and graduates can offer parents comfort and confidence in the safe care they provide to young children. Class size is limited. Class dates and registration information will be posted on the Library's calendar.
